Happy February residents! Love is in the air around our UTA student housing. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and we can’t wait to celebrate. For our latest blog, we’ve pulled together some last-minute date nights that are sure to impress your significant other. These ideas are great for those of you on a budget or who are hoping to avoid crowded restaurants and hotspots around Arlington.

Now without further ado, let’s jump right into our Valentine’s Day date night ideas. 

Recreate Your First Date 

If you and your loved one have been dating for a while then this is a great idea to take them down memory lane. Recreating your first date will show off how much you paid attention to the first time the two of you hit it off, and show how much you care. 

You can either decide to keep the whole date experience a secret or drop hints throughout the day to see if your partner can guess what the surprise will be. Whether it was a coffee date or dinner out, we’re sure they’ll love this idea. 

Themed Movie Night 

This idea is perfect for those of you who prefer to spend Valentine’s Day at home relaxing with your loved one in your student apartments in Arlington. For this date night concept, scroll through Netflix or Hulu and look for a movie you and your significant other have been meaning to watch. After that, come up with a menu for the evening that relates to the movie! 

We also love this idea if you want to spend Valentine’s Day with a group of your closest friends. Come up with a menu ahead of time and have everyone bring a specific item to make it a potluck. 

Arts and Crafts 

When is the last time you took on a fun little project with your partner? An evening spent unleashing your inner creativity with your partner can be fun and romantic. Keep the night romantic by ordering some canvases or paintings ahead of time online. You can also find them at the local craft store, along with the acrylic paints and paintbrushes you’ll need.

At the beginning of the night go ahead and tuck away your phones to keep the evening focused on the two of you and your art. Put on some music, gather some snacks or drinks and you will be good to go! This is a great idea that could be perfect for newer relationships or if you want to keep things really simple this year. Either way, you get to have fun and explore your creative side with your partner, which is sure to bring you closer together.
